Last fall, I joined up with my friends at Richlands Dairy Farm in Blackstone to offer dairy farm mini sessions during their fall festival--we had so much fun that we decided to offer them again during the farm's June Family Farm Day!
Megan + Rocky : Married
This experience was certainly a memorable one! Thank you, Megan and Rocky, for entrusting me with your special day. It was a joy to watch you two share your vows and celebrate with family. This wedding took place at the lovely Brandermill Country Club in Midlothian. Floral designs by Flowers Make Scents. Hair and makeup by Fringe: Nicole Brooks, Nikki's Mane Art of Attraction, and Christine Goulet. Cake by Knead Cake Bakery and favors by Sweet Pea Bakery 1209.

D + K Pregnancy Announcement and Newborn Portraits
This couple came to me last fall for pregnancy announcement photos for their rainbow baby, and I'm finally sharing because some congratulations are in order-see the "before" album here and see more "after" newborn and family portraits here.
Ammie + Ariel Senior Casual and Equine Session
Meet Ammie and this lovely and fun little jumper mare, Ariel. These two were a joy to photograph and I'm so grateful we were blessed with a warm day, spring colors, and the perfect amount of clouds for shooting out in the open. View more images from the session here on my Facebook page.
D + K Richmond Engagement Session
I love these two friends and it was a privilege to shoot some engagement images for them. I'm also a big fan of their dog, Shelby, and I'm really glad they brought her along :)
Family of Four February Portraits
I photographed this family when they were three last fall, so it was really wonderful to get the opportunity to photograph them as a group of four this time on a bright winter day :) See more sneaks of their Midlothian family portrait session.
Midlothian Engagement Session
Where to start with this one? These two warmed my heart, and they came with a vision for certain images they'd like to use with their wedding planning--I love bringing those ideas to life! See more images from their winter MIdlothian engagement photoshoot.
Kasey + Jeff - Engagement Session
Ever since I spoke with this couple and we chose to meet up near Williamsburg to shoot some engagement images, I've had this album in my head--it was great to get the images out just like I had envisioned them! And this couple was absolutely wonderful--they were game for getting up at the crack of dawn and standing around outside on a January morning for two hours so that we could take advantage of the best light available. I loved getting to know them and their sweet relationship--this album is going to be a favorite of mine for a long time!

Winter Family Session
It was a cold day, but I enjoyed meeting this lovely family for some winter portraits in Chesterfield at Midlothian Mines Park! See more of their gallery here.
Polly Pocket, Wink, and Friends - Holiday Horse Mini Portrait Sessions at Zephyr's Way Stable
I had a great time photographing some just-in-time-for-the-holidays horse+rider mini session at Zephyr's Way Stable in Powhatan. These kids warmed my heart because they were happy to be there just because it meant they got to hang out with their favorite pony. See more from the shoot here. If you're interested in a similar block of mini-sessions at your barn, I've just added an option to my pricing page!
Maddy + Z Fall Equine Portrait Session
Maddy was often one of my photography test subjects back when I first got started (and I shot most of my first-ever sessions back here at this same farm--it's got great scenery!), so it was nice to get back out for some updated images with her. It got dark on us fast, but these turned out to be some of my favorites of 2017 so far. I love the colors that show up under a clipped horse! Check out more images from the session here.
Grace Fall Senior Portrait Session
Grace was a trooper for shooting in under-freezing morning temps with me (see more of the shoot here). I've spent a good bit of time at Double B Equestrian lately! Some clients have picked it for the great scenery and colorful trees in the landscape (the venue is a horse boarding operation in Moseley).
Three Ponies are Better than One: RVA Horse and Family Photos
I enjoyed photographing Lainey, her family, and their three horses at the lovely Double B Equestrian in Moseley. It's hard to go wrong with including a horse in your portraits, so why not three? See more from the session here.
Lottie and Ink's Sunset Horse and Rider Portrait Session
I LOVE this set of images from Lottie and Ink's equine portrait session in Glen Allen. Ink is an OTTB with lovely manners who also loves his girl. See more from the shoot here.
Family Equine Portraits
I enjoyed working with this lovely, kind family for our evening horse and family photo session out at Zephyrs Way Stable in Powhatan.
Fall Family of Three Portraits at Pocahontas State Park
I shot a fall family photo session for some lovely friends the other day at Pocahontas Park. We are finally getting some yellow in these trees!
Family of Four Portrait Session at Midlothian Mines
I returned to Midlothian Mines this week for a session with a sweet family from church. See more of the shoot on my Facebook page.
Friends, Ponies, and Sunsets
I had a wonderful time shooting some images of Claire, her awesome horses, and her friend Molly. We got lucky with beautiful sunset light and a very convenient apple tree that made a perfect shooting spot. See more images from the session here.
Double Maternity+Family Portrait Session
If one maternity session is good, two is better! These two families are so sweet and they are looking forward to introducing new cousins this fall. We shot these at a neat little venue near Petersburg called Scents of Cedar Bed and Breakfast-check it if you need an event spot! Check out more from the session here.
Ponies and Unicorns
A while back, I acquired a unicorn horn that fit a horse, and I finally got to put it to use for two back-to-back sessions on a recent Saturday morning. It's something a little different, but a lot of fun to work on! See lots more of the images on my Facebook page.
