It’s been a little while since I’ve had the chance to shoot some horse images—I love these! Roberta has two really sweet geldings, and they even match <3. See the rest of her shoot here!
Polly Pocket, Wink, and Friends - Holiday Horse Mini Portrait Sessions at Zephyr's Way Stable
I had a great time photographing some just-in-time-for-the-holidays horse+rider mini session at Zephyr's Way Stable in Powhatan. These kids warmed my heart because they were happy to be there just because it meant they got to hang out with their favorite pony. See more from the shoot here. If you're interested in a similar block of mini-sessions at your barn, I've just added an option to my pricing page!
Three Ponies are Better than One: RVA Horse and Family Photos
I enjoyed photographing Lainey, her family, and their three horses at the lovely Double B Equestrian in Moseley. It's hard to go wrong with including a horse in your portraits, so why not three? See more from the session here.
Ponies and Unicorns
A while back, I acquired a unicorn horn that fit a horse, and I finally got to put it to use for two back-to-back sessions on a recent Saturday morning. It's something a little different, but a lot of fun to work on! See lots more of the images on my Facebook page.
More Kids, More Ponies
It's hard to get a bad photo when you're shooting kids with their ponies. These guys were all a lot of fun. Spot the outfit that the kid picked out for herself and her pony :)
Equine Session with Amigo
Shot a little equine session on a bright morning this weekend!
Equine Session with Zidane D
I have known Maddy for several years through riding, so this session was a little extra-special since I got to picture her with her first horse--she found Zidane D last fall after a long search, and they seem to be getting along wonderfully.
Kids and Ponies
It's been a while since I have done an evening shoot--I have had a lot of early-morning sessions lately, so it was great to get out in this warm sunset light!
First March Photoshoot: A girl and her pony
Sometimes all you need is a cedar tree in a pasture to create some magical light. I enjoyed capturing these two--posing for the camera was easy for them since they are buddies! See the whole Spring Equine Portraits album on Facebook.
