I’ve had my busiest May of shooting since I opened up shop, but it’s been a great time! Here are a few highlights, but if you follow along on Facebook, I’ll post plenty more there.
Fall and Winter Wrapup - thank you, everyone!
I am long overdue for a blog post on my site, but after entering a very busy season, I prioritized getting galleries delivered and am finally catching up on sharing some of my work with the rest of you now that shooting has wound down a bit over the holidays! 2019 was a great year and I am thankful once again for all the clients and friends who have supported me and helped me continue to build business. Here are just a couple images from throughout the fall and winter to show you what I’ve been up to—head to my facebook page to see many more updates and sneak peeks, as I post sessions more frequently there as well! Sam and Amber | Married
Sam and Amber had a beautiful Mechanicsville wedding last week! I loved their wedding colors and all the greens in their florals. Park Bridal Session

Mike + Sarah | Married
This couple got married at the Jamestown 4-H setting, which provided a lovely view of the James River and some handy beaches for wedding party photos. They had a beautiful day and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to capture it! View more from their day here.

It is hard to beat a barn wedding when that barn is right in the backyard of your childhood home. Erin and Will picked a beautiful day to celebrate with friends and family and they transformed their Amelia County family farm into a pretty awesome venue for a wedding day! Congratulations, guys! Lizzie+Warren | Married
When you have an outdoor wedding, you never know what is going to happen with the weather, and starting right before Lizzie and Warren's ceremony, the skies really opened and we had a night of heavy rain and not quite the sunset we were hoping to shoot in. Nonetheless, these two took it in stride, moved the whole thing under their reception tent, and partied on with friends! Lizzie + Warren Sunset Session
We almost got rained out for this shoot, but a giant thunderstorm cleared and left us with the right kind of light just in time! These two were relaxed and so awesome to work with--I think trekking through all the tall grass was worth it! See more from the shoot on Facebook.
Megan + Rocky : Married
This experience was certainly a memorable one! Thank you, Megan and Rocky, for entrusting me with your special day. It was a joy to watch you two share your vows and celebrate with family. This wedding took place at the lovely Brandermill Country Club in Midlothian. Floral designs by Flowers Make Scents. D + K Richmond Engagement Session
I love these two friends and it was a privilege to shoot some engagement images for them. I'm also a big fan of their dog, Shelby, and I'm really glad they brought her along :)

Kasey + Jeff - Engagement Session
Ever since I spoke with this couple and we chose to meet up near Williamsburg to shoot some engagement images, I've had this album in my head--it was great to get the images out just like I had envisioned them! And this couple was absolutely wonderful--they were game for getting up at the crack of dawn and standing around outside on a January morning for two hours so that we could take advantage of the best light available. I loved getting to know them and their sweet relationship--this album is going to be a favorite of mine for a long time!

Congrats to these two on their recent engagement! We had a lovely night getting these photos at Dylan's family farm, with the horses making an appearance.
